We are closed for the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 2nd April 2026 and will re-open on Tuesday 7th April 2026 at 8:30am.

If you have a dental emergency during this time, the local primary care trust operates an NHS emergency service for all members of the local public via NHS direct on 111.

An alternative more comprehensive private service is also available from 6pm to 9pm weekdays, and 10am to 6pm weekends and bank holidays from the South Staffs Emergency Dental Service of which all our dentists are members. To access this service, please call 07731 107 470 but please note that private call out and treatment charges apply to all patients.

We wish you all a very happy Easter break from all of us at Shenstone Dental Centre!

CBCT Scanner

CBCT Scanner in Shenstone

At Shenstone Dental Centre, we use advanced CBCT scanning to plan treatments with a high level of accuracy, particularly for dental implants. This means we can plan your treatment with confidence and avoid unnecessary surprises

A CBCT scan is a detailed 3D scan of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. It allows us to see bone levels, nerve positions, and facial anatomy far more clearly than standard X-rays.

This allows us to plan your treatment with a level of precision that simply isn’t possible with standard X-rays.

We are one of the only practices in the Lichfield area with an in-house CBCT scanner, meaning your treatment can be planned and carried out all in one place.

Every patient having dental implants with us will have a CBCT scan as part of their treatment planning. This ensures your treatment is safe, precise, and designed for long-term success. It also helps us determine whether implants are suitable for you in the first place.

Why CBCT scanning is important

CBCT allows us to plan your treatment with confidence. By seeing everything in 3D, we can assess your jaw and surrounding structures in far greater detail.

  • Accurately assess bone quality and volume
  • Identify important areas such as nerves and sinuses
  • Plan implant placement with precision
  • Reduce risks and improve long-term results

This level of detail helps us deliver safer, more predictable treatment and better outcomes for our patients in Shenstone, Lichfield and surrounding areas.

What to expect

CBCT scans are safe, non-invasive, and use a low level of radiation, significantly lower than traditional CT scans.

The scan itself is quick, simple, and completely painless. The scanner gently rotates around your head for a few seconds, capturing a full 3D image.

Our trained dental team will guide you through the process, making sure you feel comfortable and at ease throughout.

Part of our advanced dental care

CBCT scanning is just one of the ways we use modern technology at Shenstone Dental Centre to improve your experience and results.

By combining advanced imaging with clinical expertise, we’re able to provide treatment that is more accurate, more efficient, and tailored to you.
