Full Mouth Reconstruction

What is a full mouth reconstruction?
When you have many broken, worn and/or multiple missing teeth, then a full mouth reconstruction may be required. This will often require every tooth to be restored with a combination of veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays, dental implants and dental bridgework.
At Shenstone Dental Centre we have the experience and expertise to bring together the various advanced dental disciplines required to create full mouth reconstructions that not only look great but they function correctly, are healthy and will last for many years to come.

Tooth Wear

Accelerated tooth wear, worn out or worn down teeth and acid dental erosion are increasingly common today. This is commonly termed as “Tooth Substance Loss”.
There are 3 forms of accelerated tooth substance loss (TSL):-

This is tooth wear through grinding or clenching,

This is tooth wear through over aggressive brushing

This is loss of tooth structure (enamel and dentine) dissolved through acid erosion caused by acidic foods and drinks in our diets, or in patients with conditions like bulimia or acid-reflux.

Of course we often see patients with more than one, or even a combination of all of the factors above too, for example the case below.

Our restorative dental treatments aim to return your teeth to optimum dental health, function and aesthetics. That’s where our expertise and experience in all aspects of dentistry helps us to achieve the best possible long-term results for our patients.
