Dr Paul Carroll - Principal Dentist & Partner

Dr Paul Carroll is an experienced restorative dentist with more than 20 years of clinical practice, known for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. As Principal Dentist and co-founder of Shenstone Dental Centre, Paul has helped develop the practice into a leading private referral centre for implants, aesthetic dentistry, and complex restorative treatment. His work contributed to the practice being recognised at the Private Dentistry Awards (Most Improved Practice, 2016).

Paul has extensive expertise in fixed prosthodontics, aesthetic smile rehabilitation, implant prosthetics, tooth wear management, endodontics, and full-mouth reconstruction. He is committed to ensuring every patient receives individually tailored, evidence-based care in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Alongside his clinical work, Paul is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, where he teaches across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes—including serving as Deputy Programme Lead for the MSc in Restorative Dentistry, an international course attracting dentists from around the world. He leads clinical skills teaching, supervises research projects, examines for finals, and mentors students as part of his role as Personal Academic Tutor.

Paul also contributes widely to postgraduate education. He regularly delivers NHS England CPD courses, examines for the UCL Overseas Registration Examination, and is an assessor for the Royal College of Surgeons Licence in Dental Surgery.
