All of our dentists, Drs Nesbitt, Carroll and Patel, are highly qualified to Masters degree level and have trained with some of the worlds leading cosmetic and implant surgeons. We are the only practice in the region where all our dentists are trained to Masters level (and beyond) so you can be assured of excellence. Drs Nesbitt and Patel are both recognised as specialists in their fields.
Dr Nesbitt is accredited as a specialist in Oral Surgery in recognition of his training and experience in this field of dentistry. He also holds a Master’s degree in Implant Dentistry and lectures nationally to dentists on Implant Dentistry. Dr Nesbitt also works as an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeon’s in Glasgow, assessing dentists sitting postgraduate examinations. Dr Nesbitt is the only accredited Oral Surgery specialist registered in the Lichfield area (source GDC register). Dr Nesbitt is also an accredited mentor, training dentists in the Staffordshire area in Implant dentistry and is a mentor for Implant dentistry at the Association of Dental Implantology. Dr Paul Carroll qualified from Sheffield University in 1999. Since this time Paul has attended numerous postgraduate courses to further his clinical skills and experience including Certificates in Implant Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 2005 as well as starting Shenstone Dental Centre, Paul was awarded a place on the president’s honours roll of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In 2008 after four years of study at Kings Colleague London Paul was awarded a Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry with merit in Prosthodontics (The MClinDent is the equivalent to two normal Masters (MSc) Degrees) Paul has also completed extensive research on Porcelain veneers (as used in smile makeover’s) and presented his findings at the international British Dental Association Conference. Paul also lectures nationally to dentists on this subject.
Paul is the only dentist in the Lichfield/Sutton area who has completed master’s level training in restorative dentistry. Recently Paul was awarded a part time teaching post at Birmingham Dental Hospital providing tuition and supervision to third and fourth year dental students.

Our dentists are supported by our hygienist, Abigail Attenborough, and therapist, Karen Hendon. The practice is administered by Andrea Wall.
