All of our dentists, Drs Nesbitt, Carroll and Patel, are highly qualified to Masters degree level and have trained with some of the worlds leading cosmetic and implant surgeons. We are the only practice in the region where all our dentists are trained to Masters level (and beyond) so you can be assured of excellence. Drs Nesbitt and Patel are both recognised as specialists in their fields.
Dr Nesbitt is accredited as a specialist in Oral Surgery in recognition of his training and experience in this field of dentistry. He also holds a Master’s degree in Implant Dentistry and lectures nationally to dentists on Implant Dentistry. Dr Nesbitt also works as an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeon’s in Glasgow, assessing dentists sitting postgraduate examinations. Dr Nesbitt is the only accredited Oral Surgery specialist registered in the Lichfield area (source GDC register). Dr Nesbitt is also an accredited mentor, training dentists in the South Staffordshire area in Implant dentistry.
Dr Carroll has recently completied his Master’s degree training in Restorative Dentistry that includes cosmetic dental training at King’s College Hospital in London. Paul graduated first in his class and he has been asked to join the faculty to teach on the Master’s programme. Paul has recently lectured at the prestigous British Dental Association Conference on the art and science behind porcelain veneers, one of the main treatment options for ‘smile makeovers’.
The most recent addition to the practice team is Dr Amit Patel, a periodontist. Dr Patel is accredited as a specialist in the treatment of gum disease and brings a high level of expertise to an area of oral health that is often undertvalued, particularly in light of current research linking gum disease to general health problems (such as heart disease, diabetes and strokes). Aside from the regular clinics at the practice Dr Patel also teaches at Birmingham Dental Hospital.
Our dentists are supported by our hygienist, Abigail Attenborough, and therapist, Karen Hendon. The practice is administered by Andrea Wall.
